We are always excited to welcome new students to the Maroon Tide family! It is our goal to make your transition to GHS as smooth as possible

This information does not apply to students who attended 8th grade at Galax Middle School. Students promoting to 9th grade from the Middle school have been registered.

To submit paperwork and documents, you can drop them off at GHS or mailing them to the GHS Guidance Department at 200 Maroon Tide Drive, Galax, VA 24333.

In addition to the Enrollment Forms (link to the left), the following documents are needed:

o Parental Identification
o Immunization Records
o Proof of Residency (utility bill, lease agreement, vehicle registration)
o Copy of Birth Certificate
o Transcript from former school (we encourage parents to review transcripts for accuracy)
o Copy of IEP or 504 Plan if applicable
o Custody documentation if applicable

Once these documents have been received and reviewed, you will be contacted with further instructions regarding the registration process. In the links to the left you will find the Program of Study which includes the courses offered at GHS as well as graduation requirements and other helpful information. We look forward to meeting you!
