Congratulations to rising senior, Carson Iroler, who was recently selected to the Roanoke Times 2025 All-Timesland Golf Team! Student-athletes who exceled on the links both last fall and this spring were selected to be a part of this team. Last fall, Carson finished fourth at the Class 1 state tournament at Great Oaks Country Club, shooting a 3-over 75, and also placed runner-up at the Region 1C tournament, earning a score of 73. #GalaxReady

Galax High School Swim was honored this week by the Galax City Council! The following swimmers were recognized for their outstanding performances at the VHSL State Swim competition that took place in February: Walter Whitman, Thomas Fant, Briar Sessions, Caleb Whitman, Josiah Whitman, Raygan Cocke, Sydney Alderman, Sophia Chavez, Vivian Fant, Adalyn Markham. These swimmers placed individually or as a team 8th place or higher, and several of them in multiple events! #GalaxReady
GHS Splash traveled to Staunton today. They learned about Frontier Culture and enjoyed dinner on the Blue Ridge Flyer train. We’ve been complimented twice for how well behaved our students are-that's no surprise to us!! #GalaxReady

Galax Wrestling would like to invite any rising 6th-12th grade students to a wrestling interest meeting on Saturday, May 31st at 6PM. The meeting will be held at The Ford Athletic Center located at 1203 South Main Street in Galax, across from Hillcrest Baptist Church. We will be serving free hot dogs and hamburgers.
